When ever I select to “update” the feeds, not all of them update… even when I know that new news have been posted ot the sites. Any suggestions?

Does this work on the UK? My O2 Nokia 6630 gave me a (1) Communication error :-18 (java.io.IOException:-18)

Lovely application! Totally brilliant! Much more user-friendly and true to the http version than mobile Bloglines. But …

… as I “updated” the 14 blogs, the app froze when 10 or so were updated. Couldn’t access the other sites so I deleted the Reader and tried to install it again. To no avail. App says I should “clear my cache” (on my Nokia 6600). Like how? What is that?

Good question and one I’ve received enough that I just addressed it on the FreeRange Blog.

The short answer is that we thought we could provide significant enough advantages in a dedicated application that it made sense to do it.

People have had success doing this when they get the invalid JAR error.

Zed, Bloglines is great, but when you’re reading tons of feeds on a Treo, the limited multitasking abilities make it very difficult to chat, check email, and read feeds. Waiting for the page to reload in Bloglines is basically a pain. Standalone RSS readers seem to be a better solution for phones like the Treo.

Why bother with a standalone RSS reader? Just get a Web browser (native or Java) and use Blogline or a similar service. No arbitrary feed limitations, automatically in sync on different devices and so far no yearly contracts.
