Since I’ve quite doing my daily link posts, I’ve got some stories sitting around I want to point to.
Dean Bubley has a great post examining whether operators should subsidize handsets with features that don’t generate any revenue for them, like Bluetooth or FM radio. Interesting stuff, and following on from a post by Keith McMahon, who’s doing some really good stuff at TeleBusillis.
The day before that, Dean wrote pretty much the best post I’ve read yet on why Wi-Fi-enabled mobile phones don’t pose much of a threat to mobile operators.
Finally, from our friends over at All About Symbian, news of the Nokia N93 Golf Edition. I’m not particularly fond of golf, but it’s interesting to see Nokia target this market (and its often free-spending fans) with a slightly customized device, perhaps as a function of its European PGA Tour sponsorship.
