[...] Now we’re all back to work, it’s about time for MobHappy’s 2007 Predictions. While they’re a bit of fun, Carlo and I have a pretty formidable record in this game, so if you’re interested in the mobile space, they’re worth a read. And if you’re not interested, why on earth are you reading this? [...]

[...] Following Russell’s lead, I thought I’d review my predictions for 2006 that I made at the end of last year. Ditto to his comment about the confusing numbering, we each did 10 out of 20, in no real order, and click through the links for the original posts detailing some of my original shots.
To point 13:

The largest public retail bank in Germay has a MIDP 2.0 banking application since October 2004 and this app was sold to another 4 banks in 2005 and to 10 banks in 2006.

Not all banks are slow, sometimes banks are faster than anybody else in the Java MIDP space :-)

And it's one app for 200 mobiles, so Java is not as worse as a lot of people mention. Programming in XHTML on the mobile is much worser at this stage (especially when you want to reach a lot of handsets and do SSL either).

And I know what I'm talking about, because I do Java, but I prefer doing XHTML/Web and I love Symbian C :-).

8% CTR is impressive. Any stats on what kind of site setup can cause such high CTRs? Or do you mean certain specific ads generate this amount?

Is AdMob offering context-based ads (analyzing the page content), like Google AdSense?
