		<description>The Institute of Practitioners in advertising (whom I am the mobile spokesperson for) recently issued a document about the future of agencies and highlighted the importance of mobile to through-the-line over the next five years. It talked a lot about the growing power of consumer networks....consumer groups have become a &#039;media in their own right&#039; and brands need to &#039;negotiate&#039; with these communities.  Our take on this is that in order to reach influencers in these networks a multi channel strategy is of course necessary but mobile will play a crucial role in helping brands reach not only their target consumer but consumers down stream in these networks. That is, there will be consumers who can only be reached by mobile virally. Why? Our own research shows that many of the members of consumer networks only communicate by mobile...particularly true of (although a cliched statement now!) the youth market. This means if brands want to the &#039;influencer&#039; to influence everyone in his or personal network then mobile has to be on the agenda.

		<description>my take on mobile search/discovery is that &quot;local&quot; services will be more important in the mobile than on the web. i feel that people will be more likely to want to find stuff and LBS will be a big help in this space.
