Everyone wants an 'App Store' these days! But, Apple and the iPhone are a little bit special as they control the hardware, OS, and have a very cool product. It will be interesting to see if others can replicate Apples's success.

As regards free mobile games and apps, check out Phoload.com. We've launched today, and aim to provide an easy to use, yet powerful, free mobile software download website.

James (mjelly) is right about GetJar being confusing. That's why I'm so happy with MobileRated.com - they never say is something is Java or Symbian - you just select your phone from the list and show you the compatible applications (and games!).

The problem with getjar is that it is a nightmare to navigate and has too much confusing terminology (I am a mobile geek but haven't got a clue whether my N95 is Symbian v3 or Symbian). We are launching a new service soon that will provide a simple-to-use directory of mobile sites and apps - watch this space!
