<description>Is it just me or is a phone with only 50 SMS messages and 50 minutes pretty much just not worth it? This seems like very low numbers for the hassle of carrying around an extra phone, (or the extra weight). Now, they show it working, but I am not sure these low numbers justify a business model.

What Blyk has struggled with has been getting the end user to see the Blyk phone as their everyday phone. This is what needs to happen to become successful. What they need is a super pricing structure once the minutes and messages are used up. Until they can achieve everyday status, I would reckon to bet their figures remain stagnant.

<description>Hi Russell and readers of MobHappy blog

Great story Russell, I immediately blogged about it at the Communities Dominate blog. This is powerful independent validation of the Blyk model, as its a different country and different customer segment, and in a significantly different economic environment (UK leading Western economy vs Croatia former part of Yugoslavia and part of Eastern Europe) - these two together (Blyk and Tomato Plus) should be enough proof for any other market, to experiment in this area..

Great story. If you Russell and your sources can find out more about Tomato Plus, please share. Obviously their language is difficult for those who don&#039;t speak Croat (ha-ha) and the service is far off the radar of most analysts, so a quick google search didn&#039;t give much more than your earlier blog (and our reference to that one last year).

Great story. Lets hope it spreads..
